Blush Café — table styled with signature dishes

Our Story

We built the café we wished Kampala already had.

Blush Café & Dessert opened with a simple brief: make a room this chic, and food this indulgent, feel like an everyday visit — not a once-a-year splurge. Every dish is made to order, every dietary need is genuinely catered for, and the dessert counter runs live all day, every day.

what we stand for

Made in Front of You

Nothing leaves our kitchen pre-plated. Every dessert, every brunch plate, is finished at the live counter — so what you see is exactly what you taste, still warm.

No One Sits Out

Vegan and gluten-free guests get a full menu, not a side note. We built the card so a table of six with six different needs can all order the thing they actually want.

Kampala, Considered

We're a neighbourhood café first. Locally sourced where it matters, priced for the people who live here, open long enough that every part of your day fits.

how we got here

The Blush Journey

The Idea

Blush started as a simple question: why does "elevated" café food in Kampala always mean smaller portions and higher prices? We set out to build the opposite — indulgent, generous, and made for everyday visits, not just occasions.

The Space

Muyenga-Bukasa was chosen deliberately — close enough to the city to be a real destination, quiet enough to actually sit and stay. The blush-and-gold interior was built around one idea: a room people want to be photographed in, without it feeling staged.

The Counter

The live dessert counter is the heart of the room by design. Guests watch their sundae built, their crepe folded, their waffle plated — dessert as a small piece of theatre, not something that just appears.

Today

Blush is where Kampala comes for a long brunch, a birthday table, a first date, or a Tuesday treat. The menu keeps growing. The room stays full. That's the whole plan.
